About
Kate Whiteman is a mixed-media artist known for her large-scale, process-driven portraiture. Working primarily with oil and concrete, her paintings explore power, visibility and resilience — often through the female form.
Taking an unconventional path into the art world, Whiteman has built her practice independently, developing a distinctive visual language rooted in material experimentation and psychological intensity.
Her work has been featured in House & Garden, Ireland’s Home Interiors & Living, and the Belfast Telegraph, and was recently included in a Tate Ward auction. Alongside her studio practice, she engages in selected community and collaborative projects.
